¿Son biodegradables las toallas desechables?

Let’s talk about disposable towels. Do they break down and go back to the earth? Well, biodegradable means stuff can rot away like banana peels. Some disposable towels are made from plants like bamboo o cotton. These can break down fast. In fact, bamboo fibers rot 80% quicker than cotton in a compost pile!

But watch out! Many towels have plástico bits in them. These don’t rot easily and can stay in the dirt for hundreds of years. Plus, tiny plastic pieces harm the ocean. About 12 million tons of these bits get into the sea each year. Also, 78% of people think “biodegradable” always means safe for nature, but it’s not true!
