1.      PP non woven: polypropylene non woven fabric is the most common for disposable caps, the weight can be 10-120g/cm², it’s soft, breathable, and cost effective. Most bouffant cap and crimp caps are made by PP.

2.      SMS non woven: It’s tri laminate non woven fabric, it’s made up of a top layer of spunbond polypropylene, a middle layer of meltblown polypropylene and a bottom layer of spunbond polypropylene. The weight can be 25-65g/cm². It’s softer and more durable than PP non woven. Most surgeon caps are made by SMS

The surgical caps are also can be made by PP+SMS material. Top of the cap is made by thinner PP material which is more breathable. And SMS material for other parts which is more soft, and better to prevent sweat. This style surgical caps is popular on USA and European market.
